Made for the 2024 GMTK Game Jam: Built To Scale

This is a very well done and polished puzzle game,
The puzzles were just the right amount of difficulty (for my small brain) and it was quite pleasant to guess the solutions. The mechanics were interesting.
Creativity:
The game's puzzles are well desgined and use the game's mechanics to their full extent. Increasing and decreasing your size is a fun concept in this type of puzzle game, but I fell like the way it's represented isn't great, i think the gates being simply numbers undermines the "scaling" factor of the game and could be shown in a different way, though it does well in informing the player. I feel like there could be at least one puzzle mechanic that doesn't boil down to "One way gate" and "Openable Gate". Maybe make the slime at bigger size take a 2x2 grid of space instead of 1x1?
Artstyle:
The games art is very uniform (in a good way). It looks good, but above all you can tell objects apart from each other. The animations are GREAT. And the smoothness is really amazing for a gamejam entry. There was nothing that would stand out like a sore thumb and that's a great achievement for 4 days.
Music and Sound:
i like the music, it's very well made (gave me really good pokemon vibes) and fits almost perfectly, the only thing i can say is maybe the energy of the soundtrack doesn't really feel the "puzzle vibe" of the game, but that's quite subjective. The victory jingle was great lol
There weren't many soundeffects? The slimy sound effects fits the vibe well, but the game could use more responsiveness to interacting with game Objects.
Overall the game is very well polished and fun to play. For 4 days this is a great submission and you guys should be proud!
this is fun! love it all xD
